Selecting Your Access Panel

In order to select the right panel, you will need to consider the following key elements:

Application – The selection you will have access to will depend on how the door will be used. While some doors can be a flush mount or universal mount, others need to be fire-rated non-insulated or specialty ceiling and floor access. Most drywall access doors will require mudding to cover specific parts. Fire-rated doors are insulated, which means they will keep heat or cold in a room.

Material – Amazing Doors & Hardware, LLC carries a wide variety of access door material. While most are grey or prime-coated steel, your company’s door may need to be painted to match a current color theme. Currently we carry access doors in the following variety of materials:

  • Aluminum
  • Steel
  • Plastic

If you are considering steel for your establishment, you will want to consider the thickness or gauge as well. Most doors use 18 to 14 gauges, but you will need to ensure that the gauge you select not only works, but matches the specific requirements for what you are covering.

Size – Sizes are not a problem with Amazing Doors & Hardware, LLC. Our doors can suit just about any access opening and custom sizes are available upon special request.

Lock Types – Once a door is installed, it needs to be secured with a locking mechanism. While some access doors and panels do not utilize a locking system, certain building codes will require them. Amazing Doors & Hardware, LLC currently offers the following lock types for your panels:

  • Cylinder
